Welcome to Tritlington Church of England
Voluntary Aided First School
‘Let your Light Shine’
A very warm welcome to Tritlington C of E First School. We feel extremely privileged to be headteachers of such an amazing community focused church school.
We hope our school website gives you an insight into life at Tritlington and captures why our church school is such a special place.
We are a small, rural school in a wonderful setting just north of Morpeth close to the A1. A Christian ethos lies at the heart of Tritlington Church of England First School where our core values of love, friendship, perseverance, courage, compassion and trust are central to everything we do.
We place great importance on the partnership between home and school and believe this provides a shared approach to our children’s education. A strength of our small school is that we can know, value and support each child as an individual and enable them to be the best they can be and to let their lights shine!
We encourage feedback from parents and the wider community, and visitors are always warmly welcomed into our school.
May we take this opportunity to thank you for looking at our website.

The children had an amazing visit to Woodhorn Museum learning about the local history of mining. We were very lucky to be accompanied by a 'real life' miner Mr Gray who shared his experiences with us. Thank you so much Mr Gray & to all of our helpers who came on our trip
We all enjoyed a performance from theatre sans frontier. The play was 3 stories told mostly in French. Everyone was totally engaged by the two wonderful actors who played all the roles & they even took part in some of the acting & joined in with the songs too. Thank you everyone.
Year 3 & 4 had a great morning joining other Morpeth Schools at Chantry Middle School taking part in the Quad Kids Athletics event. The event was led by Chantry's Young Sports Leaders, some are former Tritlington pupils! Everyone's effort was amazing! Well done Year 3 & 4!
Thank you to our Parents & Grandparents for the positive responses received at our recent Art exhibition. It was wonderful to see so many proud faces sharing their royal tributes to the Queen. We are extremely proud of our budding artists letting their individual lights shine!
Class 1 have been learning about life cycles & have enjoyed watching the life cycle of a butterfly. They have cared for them since they were caterpillars; watched them become a chrysalis, & then hatch into beautiful butterflies. What an exciting time!
Great work Tritlington School! We cant wait to see the flowers start to blossom in spring! https://t.co/MtmKK5wp3j
What a fantastic day we have had for Outdoor Learning Day. Thank you to our local community for donations and support.
What an amazing adventure we had today learning about harvesting wheat!
Class 2 caught up with some gardening this afternoon. The caterpillars were having a lovely feast on the cabbages we had planted but we got a lovely crop of potatoes and the first of many squashes. 😀 😀😀
