Tritlington Nursery caters for children from the term after their 3rd birthday. We currently offer both the 15-hours universal free entitlement to all 3 and 4 year olds and the 30-hours funding to those families who are eligible.
We are passionate about giving our youngest children the very best start to their school journey. We strive to create a warm, welcoming and secure environment where children and their families feel happy, valued and supported from the very beginning.
Our Early Years curriculum is carefully designed to spark curiosity, inspire a love of learning and build on each child’s individual interests, experiences and abilities. Through play, exploration and purposeful experiences, children are encouraged to be independent, try new things, take risks in their learning.
We provide a wide range of engaging activities and carefully chosen resources that enable every child to develop at their own pace, build confidence and discover their strengths. Above all, we nurture children as happy, confident and enthusiastic learners, giving them the foundations they need to thrive throughout their school journey and beyond.

How will my child learn?
Children in the Early Years learn through a combination of short adult led activities and child initiated activities. The indoor and outdoor areas are resourced with materials to develop skills and learning. The children learn through playing and exploring, being active and by creative and critical thinking.
The children have daily phonic, literacy and maths sessions which follow the ethos of learning through play. Children regularly choose and discuss books with staff independently and in small groups.
How do we plan?
The Early Years Foundation Stage has 17 Early Learning Goals which it is hoped the children will achieve by the end of Reception. In Nursery the children work towards age related goals that will help them to take small steps towards achieving these Early Learning Goals.
