Tritlington Early Years…’a highly effective early years provision.’ – Ofsted 2019

Tritlington Nursery caters for children from the term after their 3rd birthday.  We currently offer both the 15-hours universal free entitlement to all 3 and 4 year olds and the 30-hours funding to those families who are eligible.

Our aim is to work in partnership with you: together, we can give your child the best start to life by providing an environment where the children feel safe, are happy and enjoy learning.  We pride ourselves on working closely with families to ensure your child has a smooth transition from home to school.

We work hard to make learning fun.  We provide an environment where children can learn effectively through:  Active investigation, Enquiry and First-hand experiences.

In our recent Ofsted inspection our Early Years provision was graded as Good.

The early year’s classroom is vibrant, exciting and well resourced. Children working inside the classroom and those working outdoors are engrossed in their learning. This is because curriculum activities are planned to meet children’s needs and interests.’ Ofsted April 2019

EYFS Framework
The areas of learning within the framework are:

Personal, social and emotional development
Communication and language
Physical development
Literacy
Mathematics
Understanding the world
Expressive arts and design
Further information on the framework and these areas of learning can be found using this link.

The curriculum is based around topics, themes and high quality texts. The children are closely involved in deciding which topics we cover and opportunities are provided to ensure child-initiated and adult initiated learning takes place.  We plan from the EYFS framework on a weekly basis to ensure your child is provided with a broad and balanced curriculum.  We work hard to ensure that the curriculum is interesting and exciting and that children are nurtured to become lifelong learners. The children are encouraged to take risks in their learning, have a go at new activities, to try their best and let their individual lights shine.
